lace figurines

In 1884 the Sitzendorfer manufactory began fabricating lace figurines.
Clean cotton lace or cotton tulle ,drenched with porcelain slip, will be drapes with a needle around the formed and  pre-fired(at 800 degrees )    figurines.One also says preheated figure..
During the firing with appr. 1200  degrees the pure cotton material burns out and at the end we have the transparent filigran skirt.
